1. Add physical contact info on each page. Put our Phone number and Physical Address on EACH AND EVERY Page on your website. Google trusts such sites and pages more. Always put BOTH local and toll free numbers.
2. Update search engine local directories with same address. Make sure the address and phone number in step 1 above MATCHES exactly the Google Maps, Google local business listing page, AT&T yellow pages, Yahoo Local address
3. Make local listings complete. Make sure Google local business listing page is COMPLETELY FILLED out and DETAILED. Google trusts these sites more.
4. Know where users click. Use the free CRAZY EGG to see what users think is clickable. A tremendous tool according to the Google presenter.
5. Watch user behavior. Use CLICKTALE to form analytics and record + watch user behavior.
6. Get feedback from users. Use 4Q tool to get feedback from users.
7. Make sure broken links removed. Use XENU to identify broken links.
8. Monitor performance issues. Use YSLOW to find performance issues. Google/Yahoo HEAVILY penalizes slower sites. Google rep spoke of this on one panel.

10. Download Adwords editor. Download and use the Google Adwords Editor Desktop tool, and use it to create and structure campaigns.
11. Export all Google Ads to Bing. Export ALL Google Adwords directly into Microsoft Bing’s Adcenter to avoid having to manually recreate ads on Bing. Bing says they are more successful for ROI than Google.
12. Create reports with Adwords. Create REPORTS and weekly schedule on Google Adwords. Observe particularly % of TOTAL IMPRESSIONS.
13. Incorporate Broad search results. Study BROAD search results for your Google Ad campaigns. Incorporate Broad words into your keyword list for more impressions. Periodically incorporated suggested keywords
14. Avoid Negative keywords. Add NEGATIVE keywords, for things you don’t want your ads to show up on.
15. Incorporate all suggested keywords. incorporate as many suggested. You can set target position (e.g. 2 or 3) in Google Adwords, but they don’t recommend that always.
16. Do landing page testing. Do Landing Page testing in the 3 following ways : (a) Creative Ad testing – Use Registered R symbol in Ad itself! Google allows this (b) Route Testing (c) A/B multivariate testing.
17. Put ads on YouTube. You can place ads on YouTube as well (e.g., our commercial). Youtube is the SECOND largest search engine now. Trademarkia vs. LegalZoom is a commercial we made recently.
18. You can do regular TV ads on the DISH network through Google Television ads! They recommend $1000 a day budget for 2 weeks. You can target by show, they monitor everything such as whether people click off the page etc.
19. Video Search optimization is growing. First 20 minutes after uploading a video are KEY. Make sure you have all meta data, titles, etc. in place. Write as much meta data and description as the Youtube box will allow. Must be relevant. Dont leave wasted metadata on Youtube.
20. Treat YouTube like a social network. Use all Social means to spread videos, Youtube and Google search likes that. Respond to all comments, collect as many reviews as possible. Helps search engine rankings. Provide comments on all user posts, YouTube likes that. Top videos will show up directly in Google Search Results, as Google search is now a “blended” search!
21. Create Playlists on YouTube. Uploads LOTs of Videos to the same Youtube account, and Youtube will let you create NEW youtube videos as Playlists. Playlists are GREAT because they also separately show up on Search results as if they are new videos without new content needed.
22. Create separate Adgroups. Create separate ad groups for successfully performing keywords.
23. Register your Trademark. Make SURE you Register Trademark your domain name through Trademarkia (www.trademarkia.com). If you register your trademark with the US government through Trademarkia, competitors will be unable to use your trademarked name in Google Ads. Without registering your federal trademark, your business is vulnerable to competitors registering confusingly similar domains, different country level domains, and incorporating your trademarked name in their marketing for the sole purpose of confusing others.
